Sheyda Mehrara

Sheyda Mehrara is a creative & artist living in Atlanta, GA. Largely self-taught, painting offers her a means of meditation. Sheyda paints what gives her joy — her love for France, her Persian heritage, her growing curiosity of architecture, her attraction to the color blue. For many years, Sheyda struggled with her own overwhelming feelings and emotions. Now her artwork allows her to face her feels head on and rather than punishing herself for the depth of empathy, her large gestural brushstrokes & calligraphic scribbles allow her to turn it into a positive self-dialogue. Her art is an exercise in self-reflection and an effort to learn who she is and what she stands for.
