Jennifer Gibbs

Jennifer Gibbs is an artist from Lake Charles, Louisiana. From a young age, Gibbs had a drive to create. Born into a family of creatives, Gibbs cultivated her own style of storytelling through art. Vivid memories of painting with her Mother, an artist, shaped her early practice, which continues into her work today.

Gibbs draws artistic inspiration primarily from meditation and nature. Her extensive body of work ranges from abstract expressionism to delicate botanicals to moody landscapes. Gibbs builds her composition layer by layer, meticulously mixing mediums until the piece is to her liking. Whether working in abstract or traditional styles, she uses a variety of tools and media to achieve unique textures, depth and color precision.

Gibbs currently lives and works in Nashville. In addition to Louisiana, Gibbs has shown her work in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virgina. Her pieces have been published in House Beautiful, Southern Living, LUXE magazine and Coastal Living. Although the majority of her works are held in private collections. Gibbs's work has also been included in the corporate collection of a Fortune 500 company as well as the public collection of Brechtel Hospitality/Copper Vine.
