About the Artist

Anna Matthews is an artist based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Originally from North Carolina, Anna attended UNC-Chapel Hill before moving to New York where she attended Parsons New School of Design while working for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine. Anna later entered the interior design industry and moved to Washington, DC where she started her eponymous design firm and worked with some of her favorite clients of all time over her 12 years in the District.

In 2020, Anna and her family relocated to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where they feel grateful to embrace the beauty of the simple life in a breathtaking place. Anna’s art is the result of years spent working with textiles in interiors and creating commissioned pieces for clients nationwide. She is known for her mixed media work which marries her love of textiles with acrylics, charcoal and egg wash created for each piece. Her subjects range from the impact of color to structures representing the American West and South. Two regions that have greatly influenced her work.

Anna has been featured in the Washington Post, Domino, Capitol File Magazine and Southern Living Magazine.
