George Marks normally works on wood and canvas using a variety of media including acrylic, oil, resin, and tar. When first beginning a piece, he starts with a general idea of the direction he wants to go in while leaving room for the accidental. Pieces usually take several weeks to complete depending on inspiration and weather. George draws inspiration from his South Louisiana heritage, his family, friends, nature, and the man-made.
