Odette Collective
A striking pair of Spanish lounge chairs from the 1950s, and it is the silhouette that does the work — a low, swept profile with dramatically curved arms carved from solid wood, sculptural from every angle. Odette was drawn to the almost modernist stance of them, distinctly Mediterranean but with a boldness that keeps them from reading as period pieces. The frames show a warm, hand-worked grain and the gentle wear of use.
Newly upholstered in Milola Design Costumes — a figurative print of standing figures in regional folk dress, red, teal, mustard and coral on a cream linen ground. An unexpected pairing with the sculptural frames, and exactly the kind of contrast Odette likes.
