Odette Collective
This striking French mercury mirror, c. 1850, features a beautifully carved sycamore frame with an organic hand-worked border that gives the piece warmth, movement, and remarkable texture. The softly timeworn mercury glass carries the hazy reflective quality and atmospheric character that collectors are drawn to in 19th century mirrors, adding depth and romance to the piece. Odette especially loved the understated carving and the rich patina of the wood, which balance rustic simplicity with refined French craftsmanship.
