An elegant French armchair in the Charles X taste, around 1850, with the warm blonde wood and clean classical lines Odette loves. The fruitwood frame glows golden, its gently scrolled back and sabre legs giving it that distinctive Restauration silhouette, with turned rosette details where the open arms meet the frame. It's been upholstered in black leather and finished with antique brass nailheads, a handsome, slightly masculine combination that makes the pale wood really sing.
