Odette loves the warm, figured walnut on a Charles X console like this. A single frieze drawer sits beneath a grey marble top, framed by bold scrolling S-shaped supports in richly burled walnut that sweep down to a shaped plinth base. A mirrored back panel reflects the light and whatever you stage on top. The honeyed grain and scrolled silhouette feel both grand and graceful. Lovely in an entry, behind a sofa, or as a dressing table. Figured, scrolling, and beautifully made.
