Odette Collective

Pair of Louis XV Armchairs À La Reine (Queen Size), France c. 1750 in Quercus & Co. Meander Cherry

$5,500.00

A pair of Louis XV fauteuils à la reine, French and around 1750, with the generous scale Odette looks for in an early antique. The carved walnut frames keep the period's easy rhythm — a shaped, gently arched crest, softly moulded seat rails and cabriole legs that curve out just enough to feel relaxed rather than formal. The wood has a warm, mellow patina, worn smooth at the arms where two and a half centuries of hands have rested.

Newly upholstered in Quercus & Co. Meander in Cherry — a hand-drawn trail of spiky leaf clusters in oxblood and dusty rose, wandering across a warm cream Belgian linen. The small scale and soft colour keep the carving legible instead of competing with it.

Sold as a pair. At home flanking a fireplace, pulled up to a game table, or set either side of a console in an entry.
