This is Napoleon III drama at its best, and Odette is all about that glossy black-and-gold confidence. The tall ebonized case stacks six graduated drawers, each framed in fine gilt-brass banding and incised lines, with brass swag pulls and a cast ormolu mount across the shaped base. A white marble top, softly grey-veined, crowns the deep black lacquer for maximum contrast. Its slim, upright proportions make it a wonderful semainier for a bedroom or a striking accent in an entry. Formal, dressy, and unmistakably nineteenth-century French.
