Odette Collective
A wonderfully detailed octagonal side table from around 1920, full of the hand-craft Odette can't resist. The eight-sided top is woven cane set under protective glass, and the deep apron is the real showpiece — each panel inlaid with a marquetry starburst in contrasting woods, framed by little turned spindle colonnettes. It all rests on gracefully curved legs joined by an X-stretcher, the walnut darkened to a rich, warm brown that makes the lighter inlay glow. There's a faint Moorish, well-traveled feeling to it that mixes beautifully with both antiques and more relaxed rooms. Use it beside a chair or sofa, as a lamp table, or as a characterful perch in an entry. Intricate, charming, and one of a kind.
