Odette Collective
A lovely pair of French fauteuils from around 1900 with the soft, weathered painted finish Odette can't resist. The carved frames wear an old green-grey paint worn back over the years to a gentle, chalky patina, with hints of gilt still catching on the turned arm supports and fluted, tapered legs. The Directoire lines are crisp and graceful, and they've been upholstered in a pretty blue-and-cream block-print scattered with delicate florals — a fresh, hand-printed look that suits the aged frames beautifully. As a true pair they're wonderful flanking a fireplace or console, pulled up as occasional seating, or split between two rooms. Elegant, characterful, and full of weathered French charm.
