A handsome pair of Arts and Crafts era armchairs from around 1900, with the honest, straight-lined construction Odette loves from the period. The frames are warm mahogany-toned wood, built with the movement's signature vertical spindle sides and clean, unfussy joinery — a quiet rebuke to the fussy carving of the era before it.
