Julian Chinchester
A smart, architectural pair of armchairs by the British design house Julian Chichester, exactly the kind of clean-lined modern Odette loves to mix with antiques. Each is built on an open, cube-like frame of pale cerused oak, with flat plank arms and crisp brass joinery detailing the corners, while the upholstered back and seat cushion appear to float within the geometry. The result is graphic and gallery-like, all right angles and negative space, yet softened by the cushioned seat.
